Dr. M Ali Saghiri

As the Director of the esteemed Rutgers Biomaterials Laboratory, Dr. M Ali Saghiri plays a pivotal role in shaping the overarching vision and strategy of AFSAR Holding. Leveraging his extensive expertise and years of experience, Dr. Saghiri provides invaluable guidance to propel groundbreaking advancements in dental healthcare. His influential leadership ensures the effective implementation of innovative research strategies, resource optimization, and maximization of outcomes. Dr. Saghiri's collaborative approach enables him to foster a diverse team of academics, professionals, and collaborators, driving synergy and progress. Dr. Armen Asatourian

Dr. Armen Asatourian, a graduate of Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and a General Dentist, brings a wealth of research experience to the table, with over 50 publications and multiple US patents to his name. Through collaborations with esteemed medical device companies such as RootoGen and Philips, he has demonstrated his dedication to advancing oral health care. Leveraging his extensive expertise and years of practice, Dr. Asatourian actively collaborates with his fellow team members, sharing insights and expertise to collectively drive forward AFSAR Holding's objectives and enhance patient treatment outcomes.

Dr. Sahar Dadvand

Dr. Sahar Dadvand received her dental degree from the University of Tehran in 2004. She worked as a general dentist for four years in Iran prior to moving to the United States. She received her DDS from the University of the Pacific (UOP) Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2010. Upon graduation, she completed a General Practice Residency at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dental Medicine in 2011. After practicing as a general dentist for two years in the bay area, she pursued a postdoctoral residency in Endodontics at the Boston University Henry Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Dadvand has served as part-time faculty at the UOP School of Dentistry, is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists, is a member of the California Dental Association, Northern California Academy of Endodontists, and the American Dental Association. She was determined Board Eligible by the American Board of Endodontics.

Dr. Payman Mehrvarzfar

Dr. Payman Mehrvarzfar is a Canadian Board Certified Endodontist and was an associate professor prior to moving to Canada. He is a well-known specialist in the area of Endodontics and Pain Management. In addition to conducting dental research, Dr. Mehrvarzfar also engages in clinical work as a partner in a private practice. Dr. Mehrvarzfar provides AFSAR Holding with his unique perspective and extensive experience. He is particularly involved with the groundbreaking FitSeal project.

Dr. Saul Weiner

Dr. Saul Weiner, a Board Certified Prosthodontist, was a professor at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine for over four decades and currently owns and operates his own private practice. Dr. Weiner is a distinguished specialist whose prestigious background, encompassing knowledge, skills, expertise, and dedicated effort, has a profound impact on AFSAR Holding as a whole. As a prosthodontist, he plays a significant role in elevating the quality of the CyberDenture project, enhancing its overall excellence and scientific strength. Dr. Weiner was also one of the key figures and driving forces for the Cyber Brush initiative.

Dr. Maryam Khalili

Dr. Maryam Khalili is a Clinical Associate Professor at Temple University - Kornberg School of Dentistry. Dr. Khalili is a compassionate and committed senior healthcare management professional, demonstrating a sincere dedication to patient welfare. With over 14 years of valuable experience, she holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Ajman University, as well as a Prosthodontic Certificate and MDS from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. Moreover, Dr. Khalili possesses a demonstrated capability in overseeing dental programs within laboratory settings and directing departmental operations in alignment with recognized international standards and administrative protocols. She is a highly distinguished and valuable member of AFSAR Holding.

Dr. Paymon Paul Mehryar

Dr. Paymon Paul Mehryar is a Board Certified Periodontist and Implant specialist who is currently a partner in a Private Clinic. Dr. Mehryar works together with his team members, sharing his knowledge and insights on clinical procedures to collectively propel AFSAR Holding’s objectives forward. Dr. Mehryar is specifically crucial to the Sinus Adjust project.

Dr. John L Ricci

Dr. John L. Ricci is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomaterials and Biomimetics at New York University College of Dentistry, where he directs the Master’s Program in Biomaterials Science and the PhD Training Track at the Sackler Institute at NYU Medical Center. He has held voluntary faculty appointments in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University, and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology. Dr. Ricci is an active member of the Society for Biomaterials, the American Association for Dental Research, International Association for Dental Research, and the Academy of Osseointegration. Furthermore, Dr. Ricci has over 100 major publications, hundreds of abstracts, and many invited lectures in the bioengineering, dental, orthopedic, and general biomaterials fields.

Dr. Nader Sheibani

Dr. Nader Sheibani is a distinguished professor specializing in Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, recognized for his outstanding contributions to both academic research and clinical practice. With a deep-seated commitment to advancing eye health and vision science, Dr. Sheibani combines his expertise in ocular pathology, diagnostics, and treatment modalities to educate and inspire the next generation of ophthalmologists. His innovative research initiatives focus on molecular and cellular mechanisms that regulate vascular development and angiogenesis. Driven by a passion for improving patient outcomes, Dr. Sheibani's work stands at the forefront of cutting-edge advancements in ophthalmic research, making him a respected leader in the field of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences.

Dr. Alireza Moshaverinia

Dr. Alireza Moshaverinia is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a tenured associate professor at the UCLA School of Dentistry. Alireza has received his DDS degree in 2004 from Iran. He has a Master of Science degree in Dental Biomaterials (2009) from the Ohio State University, College of Dentistry. He completed advanced clinical education in Prosthodontics and earned his PhD in Craniofacial Biology from Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC (2012). He has published more than 50 papers in peer- reviewed journals on dental materials, implant dentistry, and stem cell mediated tissue engineering. He serves as the editorial review board member for several scientific journals such as Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry. Dr. Moshaverinia directs NIH funded research projects dedicated to studying basic mechanisms to regulate stem cell-mediated bone and tissue regeneration and the role of biomaterials.

Dr. Alireza Sadr

Dr. Alireza Sadr is a Clinical Associate Professor at Department of Restorative Dentistry, Director of Operative Dentistry Pre-clinical Training and Associate Director of Biomimetics Biomaterials Biophotonics & Technology (B4T) laboratory at University of Washington School of Dentistry. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in Cariology and Operative Dentistry at Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU). Dr. Sadr holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Iran (SBMU) and a Doctor of Philosophy in Dental Science from TMDU, where he received advanced clinical training in restorative dentistry, focused on bonded restorations. Dr. Sadr’s scholarly work is focused on research and development of new restorative dental materials, mainly resin composites and adhesives. He is an advocate of minimally invasive dentistry, and has been investigating non-invasive diagnostic modalities including optical coherence tomography to image teeth and surrounding structures without the use of ionizing radiation.

Dr. Hamed Kazerani

Dr. Hamed Kazerani is an active member of the scientific community with several impactful roles including adjunct professor at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and adjunct professor at Manhattan College for 8 years. Additionally, Dr. Kazerani is a Material Science Consultant at Sensor Product, Inc. His responsibilities include designing experiments and identifying methods and materials to achieve product specifications, conducting laboratory experimentation, modifying processes and materials based on analysis of results, optimizing formulations for coating and drying of tactile pressure sensors, and working with cross functional teams to enable existing and new product development.

Dr. Giuliana Zanatta

Dr. Giuliana Zanatta is a passionate clinical researcher with 20 years of experience in healthcare provision and eight years in academia, driven by a deep commitment to sharing knowledge and nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals. Holding a Doctorate in Dental Prosthesis and expertise in Implantology, Dr. Zanatta is not only dedicated to advancing clinical research but also enthusiastic about imparting her wealth of clinical knowledge to aspiring professionals. Proficient in clinical study, and analyzing literature and data, she is equally skilled in teaching and mentoring, leveraging her experience to provide comprehensive guidance to students and colleagues alike.

Dr. Abdy Raissinia

Dr. Abdy Raissinia is proficient in the field of Regulatory Affairs and Law. Dr. Raissinia is an Intellectual Property Attorney with experience in intellectual property related agreements, acquisition due diligence, integration of acquired companies, patent preparation and prosecution, offensive and defensive analysis of patent portfolios, infringement and validity studies, open source licenses and related issues, and client counseling. He acts as a legal consultant for AFSAR Holding and is an honorable member of this company.

Dr. Saeid Amini

The highly regarded Dr. Saeid Amini acts as the legal consultant for AFSAR Holding. In this capacity, he provides guidance to the comapny in regard to regulatory approvals and submittals. Dr. Amini is a board certified attorney. Dr. Amini is the only trial attorney in the world who practices law full-time and teaches formal university courses in statistics. He has maintained his own law practice since 1999. In addition to experience as a trial attorney for 18 years, in the past 30 years, he has held full and part-time positions in various universities including ten (10) year as Associate Professor at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine (Cleveland, OH). There, he managed the computer lab for the School of Medicine and was a member of the NIH-funded General Clinical Research Center. Currently, he teaches 3 statistics courses per year at George Washington University (GWU).

Mr. Jason Safabash

As a consultant and former VP of R&D at AcuFocus, Mr. Jason Safabash demonstrated excellence in product development, portfolio management, cross-functional leadership, and USFDA Class III pre-clinical/clinical development. Mr. Safabash has successfully launched and obtained approval for complex and novel devices, such as the IC-8 Apthera IOL & delivery system, employing intricate engineering solutions and ensuring seamless compliance. He has proven expertise in multiple therapeutic areas and technologies, including ophthalmology, surgical/biopsy, endodontics, diabetes, ophthalmic phaco systems, lasers, electromechanical devices, and fluidic and microfluidic irrigation and aspiration systems and equipment. Moreover, he is also certified in PMP, CAPA, and Lean Six Sigma, enhancing his skills in project management, quality improvement, and process optimization.
